Arrowhead Hill
“I will never ever forget that day…”
Hired a wonderful wedding planner, Kelsey with Spell Events, who came across our work on Instagram and got us in contact. We had a zoom meeting with Jenny, Griffin and her sweet momma and really hit it off. This would be Cali & Bloom’s 2nd major wedding so rightfully so, they had a lot of questions for our team and our capabilities for a wedding of this size. Our team’s 1st major wedding (The Farmhouse) happened the very same week that they were picking their florist. I told them to tune into our Instagram to see our team’s capabilities. As we wrapped up our wedding that day and were waiting for flip, we got a message on Instagram from Jenny saying she couldn’t wait for Kelsey to het the news to us, she wanted to book with Cali & Bloom! To say my heart swelled with pure joy in that moment is an understatement. This was such a huge decision for them, to choose the “underdog” and put their whole trust in us. I will never ever forget that day.
One things that we loved about Jenny + Griffin’s vision was that they loved the contrasting colors of fall but had their wedding in the spring. You see a lot of weddings that follow the seasonal cures of color, but there is something so magical when you can compliment those contrasting colors of seasons and mix them up a bit. I don’t think there were any words to describe their vision! Only after meeting them did we really paint the color picture for their day and how they wanted it to feel.
We chose the dark colors of Burgundy Ranunculus and Red Pieris Japonica to draw in those rich fall feels. The awe-inspiring Cafe Latte roses blended the color perfectly into the lightness of the Pink Hellebores and Quicksand Rose. To add to the true ode to Spring, we had to incorporate the pops of Eucalyptus Stuartiana and Butterfly Ranunculus.
If you’ve ever been to Arrowhead Hill, you know that it takes your breath away pulling up. The bridal suite looks out onto the circle entrance of the venue where all the vendors show up. Seeing Jenny spot the flowers through the window as we brought them in was a memory I want to keep forever. It was followed up with the sweetest hug and a night celebrating the most amazing couple.
I can’t believe it’s literally my job to make couples dreams and visions come to life in tangible beauty.
